Our moderator has asked me to send an inquiry to members of this group about how I might modify my AOL mail options to allow my emails to the group to be received without being reformatted by Yahoo.

I thought the reformatting was related to Yahoo trying to strip non-text items and attachments that might contain viruses. But Ted tells me the kind of reformatting that is occurring on my emails should not be happening. One of the reformatting problems is that Yahoo often removes the paragraph seperators including blank lines with the result that my replies sometimes appear to be combined with the comments of the previous email that I have copied in my reply. But Yahoo also does similar reformatting with my own paragraphs that are not related to a reply to someone else's email. *---------------------- line placed here to indicate paragraph separation ----------------* Ted suggests that I may be sending emails with HTML formatting turned on and that there should be a way to turn this option off. I have done everything I know to do to see if I have such an option feature and I cannot find one. I do not know how to code HTML and send emails from a plain-vanilla AOL sign-on. I use version 9.0 that is optimized for use with several Windows versions including WindowsXP. The article was written by a reporter who attended a presentation I gave in July at the 60 year reunion of survivors of the USS Indianapolis.
