Ed,  I have one on my layout that was made for half-zero by Lambert 
(also a couple of water columns).  It looks quite well servicing my Shay 
and Heisler.  Original price was about $10 and it is brass (before brass 
became confused with gold! ha).  I believe they are quite commonly 
available on the used market and a few out of the way hobby shops may 
have one collecting dust.
