Greetings:
I have just completed my first Pine Canyon Scale Models building and it was a terrific experience. I have posted photos in the photo section of the group in a folder labeled "Pinecanyon Buildings" Here is the link: http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/s-scale/lst? <http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/s-scale/lst?&.dir=/Pinecanyon+Building s&.src=gr&.view=t&.url=http%3a//us.f1.yahoofs.com/groups/g_252190/Pinecanyon %2bBuildings/IMG_2925.jpg%3fbc2gPbyBm6rslqcb&.cx=150&.cy=112&.type=u> &.dir=/Pinecanyon+Buildings&.src=gr&.view=t&.url=http%3a//us.f1.yahoofs.com/ groups/g_252190/Pinecanyon%2bBuildings/IMG_2925.jpg%3fbc2gPbyBm6rslqcb&.cx=1 50&.cy=112&.type=u The company slogan is "Craftsman Kits with the beginner in mind" and it's true. The parts were clean, well formed and detailed. Very little sanding was required. The instructions were very clear, easy to follow and included photographs explaining the more complicated steps. I love the extra detail parts that were included such as the oil drums and roof details. I do not consider myself an expert modeler by any means, and this was my first resin building kit. However the kit is so well engineered that even a novice like me could put it together without great difficulty. Furthermore, when I sent a question via e-mail, I received a response back from Pine Canyon within the same day. The NASG award Pine Canyon won is well deserved. I was very pleased with the results which I hope the photos demonstrate. One of my HO buddies came over today and was blown away by the structure. I had about 6 different projects including this building cluttering my work bench (do we want to revive the "what's on my work bench" thread because I have some new answers!<VBG>) and as he walked by the bench he stopped dead in his tracks to check out this building. Thank you Pine Canyon. The dude thinks I am a master craftsman now. <VBG> I highly recommend this kit.
