Recently I purchased a John Deer set at Walmart. The Barn is a little
big, but the animals and farm implements look good. Has anyone else
seen this?>>>>>>>>>>>

They are not too big, measure them out.

My Gr. Grandfather built a wooden dairy barn near Rush City Minnesota in the
late 1800's that was 174' long, 40' wide, and over 40' tall at the peak.
Draw that out in 1/64th scale, and it seems huge. What most s-scalers think
is proper size is actually closer to HO.

although the smaller do fit easier into most layouts, and scenes.

the ERTL buildings are more modern, where many "pole buildings" have side
wall height of 12' - 18'
