Hi all,
I met a gentleman at a local train show this past weekend and he
overheard me mention S scale. He said he has a Cleveland Models 4-6-0
kit and 6 freight cars that he wanted to swap for O scale traction
equipment. Neeless to say I have no O scale anything so I'm curous as to
what the Cleveland stuff might be worth. Anyone have any ideas? ballpark
price range? I know some of the old zamac castings have a tendency to
crumble so don't know the condition of drivers, rods, valvegear and
frame. It still has the unfinished wooden boiler and tender. No idea
what the freight cars are.....cardstock perhaps? Thanks for your help.

I bought a mint unbuilt 4-6-0 kit a while back. I believe I paid around $75.00
for it. No problems with the castings or any other parts, they are all in great
condition. If I could find some hirail tires for the drivers I would build the
thing, install DCC, and have everone wondering what the heck it was!

The freight cars are cardstock and are of little value in my opinion.
