Hi Ed: John Picur gave you a good take on the development of Cdn Railways. Charlie Farquharson's book gives interesting versions of Cdn history that sound better than what actually happened. When Don Heron wrote the book, he was one of a few Cdn funny guys. Now we got tonnes of them, some in Hollywood and the rest still loose up here. Quebec has bunch of good francophone comics as well. to the best of my knowledge, we didn't have any poultry cars. it would have been no joke being near one of those. cheers
