Yes, and as my dearly departed 'ol pappy used to say, "When it comes to
money it's different." I haven't heard from any on this list who are willing
to double and triple-mortgage their own, private residences (as Don
apparently did) to finance a similar project. With or without vestibules. I
would not be willing to do such a thing.
While none of that keeps anyone from critiquing the outcome of a project,
IMHO, it is perhaps reasonable to consider that compromises are made in even
the highest-end brass equipment, and that few, if any pieces of equipment
ever produced on the planet have ever, ever satisfied the entire S market.
But as Earl said, we need more. Give us more, especially full-length
passenger cars.
