You didn't say what style (era), but check out CDS Dry Transfers. The
more modern (post-1936) lettering is set number S-733. They also make
sets for the earlier "Sans-Serif" (or whatever purists call it)
lettering, both 5" and 8" lettering, S-439 and S-440 respectively.
If you don't want to dry transfer on models directly (although I think
it is easier than using decals!), you can always transfer onto clear
decal film on a flat surface, burnish and then use as decals.
