I also use unaltered Kadee HO couplers exclusively and find that using
the under-the-tie magnet as an under-the-rail magnet works pretty
good. But two of the magnets along with the Kadee intensifier plate
positioned just beneath the rails works really GREAT!!

And, for uncoupling on curves, it is not hard to position the under-the-
rail magnets a bit off center so that the trip pins are centered on the
magnet even though the trip pins are off the track's centerline. Works
fine.

And the price is cheap, there are a wide variety of shank lengths,
knuckle heights and mounting opitions. Special tweezers and gages for
assembly make things easy. Best of all is the prototypical slack
action between coupled knuckles on really l-o-n-g trains. If'n you
start up too fast, you can actually break a knuckle loose as a result --
just like on the real trains. Oh what fun....... Please put $1 in
the glass jar for every knuckly you bust.

Cheers...Ed L.
