John, I haven't done my GP's yet but for other engines class lights, I 
have used a short piece of fibre optics. With a lit match melt the end 
of the fibre optic pipe where it should for a nice round nub. Run the 
other end near your headlights and the class lights will be lit. A 
little piece of colored photo gel over the pipe will color the class 
lights if desired.
