Hi Gene; You could try -
Modeling An Erie 4-6-2 In Hi-Rail S Gaugian, September/October 1988 page 22 ( 4-6-2, ERIE, KITBASH, "PETROSKY, ROBERT", STEAM, CONSTRUCTION, ENGINE, LOCOMOTIVE, S, SGA ) (from the Kalmbach index) IIRC, this article included converting the AF tender to a vanderbilt design. There is also the Marx toy tender shell which drops right on the AF frame with a bit of trimming and has rounded edges to the coal area, giving a different look. I'm sure there are other articles, just don' recall them off of hand.
