With all this talk about passenger cars, I haven't heard a single
mention of the old open-vestibule cars. Yes, I know they are
"available" from American Flyer in the Franklin or Frontiersman sets,
but those cars are actually closer to On3 scale. I also have one and
intend to get more as finances allow, but they will be seriously
hacked up to bring them to scale size, and the solid roof is a major
minus point. I will also be doing the same with some Bachmann On30
cars, again with much time and effort going into a single car, but
hopefully ending up quite presentable. It also appears that some of
my desired consist(s) will require scratch-building. But isn't there
some interest out there for some genuine "scale" 1800's S scale
passenger cars? To go along with your 1800's 4-4-0? (NO not the
Franklin beastie) OK so nobody makes one, someone should! I will be
(hopefully) converting a Bachmann On30 2-6-0 into an S scale 4-4-0.
