I have provided the Modeling Guide with the first in a series of
articles on the consrtuction of card passanger cars..with over 100
photos on a link..to be used as he sees fit. I am not sure if they
are going to use it or not in as that I have not heard form them. But
I do have patience. A few weeks ago a few people contacted me off
line about the construction process could you please recontact me.
The construction techniques could be used with other materials and
depending on your skill level and amount ot time you put into it, you
can have a great representtion of any prototye. The first one is the
hard one....after that it is improving with each one.
One of the most rewarding parts of modeling is to have something you
did from nothing rolling on the tracks. Even if you only try it once.
Over the years I have built many models with varying degrees of of
precision depending on what I felt at the time. Some have been very
accurate models of prototypes and some rather fanciful and kind of
questionable. The point is that I enjoy the process of building
them. You will never know unless you try it once.
At the moment I am working up a project that is using a lot of resin
castings and construction on multiple identical units. There is a
great amount of personal satisfaction when you can start with a piles
of what ever and come up with a finished project.
