Friends,
     I picked this up on another list this AM.  I heard all the RR's are 
like the oil companies, making great money but delivering high prices 
and poor quality!  Companies have merged, trimmed the fat and 
streamlined their operations in anticipation of slow times, but I guess 
they never figured on having good times.
See below as it's in regards to the favorite railroad to bash!!

Gosh, doesn't Uncle Pete do a good job; now if they could just get some  
more
money out of those darned model manufacturers who want to release an MStL 
box car!

 >   Seven intermodal trains laid down to  restrict inbound flow and power
 >   excessing into  LA.
 >   For reduced tonnage (to keep trains running into the  Basin with
 > existing
 >   HP), plans are being developed  for intermodal pick-ups.
 >   ZNPLB-25 will clear out Garfield  and Lyndyll
 >   Locomotive Allocation Team has resumed  powering inbound trains at 2.5
 >   hptt to eliminate trains  reductions/ delays
 >   Terminals - traffic will be handled on  the FIFO - first in first out
