Well... you sort-of stole my idea... as I'm doing basically the same thing with
LOCAL structures - taking photos and sketching out basic dimensions (some of
which I had to guess at), and enhancing/free-lancing them as I see fit. Only
difference is, I will be selling some of these when I get done with them (with
photos of the prototype where applicable); all models will be in UNPAINTED
form. If anyone is interested, keep your eyes and ears tuned to the S Yahoo
groups for postings... for models will most likely be one-of-a-kind, and first
come, first serve.

Yesterday, I got the latest issue of Walther's short version sale catalog.
Last night I got out a pad of graph paper and made sketches of several
structures Walthers sells in HO. I estimated the overall size relative to
windows and doors and adjusted the overall dimensions of the structure to S
scale. I figure I can scratchbuild/kitbash some of what is in the catalog. I'm
not talking about structures that I know I can get in S as kits (even though
they are not advertised in their catalog), but some of the more simple
structures (I can add details as I find them.). I don't see anything wrong with
this as I am not selling any thing nor am I naming them the same as Walthers
does. I'm just using their pics for ideas. Also, I'm now on a search for as
many P'ville kits I can find before they are no longer around. Builtups are way
too expensive and they are " already stuck together". That's bad for us
bashers! If stuff is not available it's just my way of getting around the
problem.
