Reminds me of something I saw first hand. In July, 1958, I was with a group
that came into here on RI 507, and went out on Santa Fe's Grand Canyon, #23,
all heavyweight except the diner, behind the then-usual ABBA set of F-7s.
Next morning at LaJunta, they switched some cars ahead of us, then that
Baldwin reached over into a roundhouse lead, pulled out an ABBB set of F-7s,
and set them onto the head end of our train. Then it was on to Raton Pass
behind all 8 full blast, with about 25 cars. We got off at Raton, and got
to see them alongside us on the road to Cimarron, too far away for a decent
shot, but oh, what to remember.

Also, as I said earlier--how about Chicago Great Western?? Not as flashy
across the Iowa fields, but just as many.
