Pieter,
        Not to disagree with the basic premise of your note, but there is a 
single sheathed Fowler car available from Kaslo through Ridgehill Scale 
Models in several Canadian flavors, and I think Gold Coast Models (ex 
Pacific Rail Shops) has another SS car almost ready for sale.  Of 
course there are some kits from the dark ages too.  I have a 
#$&[EMAIL PROTECTED]&#*(Trainstuff SS car.  Closest match I've found is a B&M 
car,  
and I'm sure there were others.
