Hi Randy; The AM forty foot box and plug door car both have a representation of the brackets for the side grabs, but no grabs are provided. Styrene rod or lengths of wire can be used to make appropriate grabs by cementing them across the existing brakets molded on the side.
Other missing grabs can be replaced with bent wire, or buy a package of both straight and drop type grabs from Tichy/CMA (along with a supply of small drill bits). Or I have seen people buy extra detail spures from Pacific Rail Shops and use the grabs and steps from those to detail the AM car to good effect.
