Being the Clinician just prior to the S-scale List meeting, I'd like to
explain why things ran so late. Gotta protect my reputation, y'know.
It seems as though a tour bus or two were running late and could not
return on time. The request came down from "on high" to delay the
start of the clinic until other folks could attend that were on the
buses. Thus, the clinics started about 45 minutes late and, as a
result, ended about 45 minutes late. Or something like that. I guess
the lesson here is that tight scheduling does not permit unforseen
happenings without severe consequences. No slack time for adjusting to
unexpected events happening or not happening. Personally, a late
evening meeting is fine with me because then I do not have to choose
between two things both of which I'd really like to do. Just one vote
out of many, I'm sure. Ed L.
