Hi,

I have a question to ask the group. There was an article in an early 1980s
issue of "Model Railroader" magazine about the then-modern products that were
available in S scale at the time called "S Scale Today". One of the companies
mentioned offered resin kits for several modern freight cars. I remember one
was for a 50 ft. waffle boxcar and another was for a LPG tank car.

  My questions are:

1): What was the name of the company? I want to say Rail Yard Models, but I'm
not sure.

2): What were the other kits offered?

I've noticed that BTS has announced plans for some modern-era rolling stock
(a Evans coil car & a Evans gondola...is this a Railgon or a generic car?) in
addition to the 89 ft. piggyback recently released. That's good because I'm on
the borderline about going into S scale and plan to model the modern era (late
70's to present). Before I make the plunge, I want to make sure there is plenty
of rolling stock that is available before making the plunge.

  Thanks,
  Robyn
