A very important message about this year's S Spree in central Ohio. Those of
you who have been in this hobby and gauge for a few years will remember the
name of Randy Sappo, undoubtedly the finest structures builder this gauge has
ever seen. Randy's buildings graced virtually every modeling magazine printed,
as well as being on the cover of most of them. When Randy passed away very
suddenly several years ago, his wife, Karen, decided that they would hold onto
Randy's structures until they had time to decide what to do with all of them.
I received a call from Karen about a week ago. She announced that she was
bringing Randy's entire collection of S Gauge buildings to this year's Spree to
auction them all off. There will be about two van loads of prime condition and
beautifully detailed S gauge structures of all types available for sale at the
Spree. Most will come with the magazine it was featured in.
