Hi Roy,

The kadee-style coupler included with the SHS Consolidation should come out 
pretty close to perfect height, within .010". I have found that it is very 
easy to not get the coupler mounted completely flat and level, and that is 
normally the problem if it comes out low. If the coupler seems to be angled 
down, that's probably the reason. Make sure that it is pressed flat against 
the underside of the tenders.

You do need to use the spacer under the rear truck bolster. Cut one corner 
off the spacer to match the AF compatible spacer which is part of the AF 
compatible coupler. This is required to clear some of the brake detail.
