Bob...Since you already have some Shinohara, why not try glue to hold 
it to the foam base.  Simply spread the glue onto the foam with your 
fingertip, lay the flextrack on top, positiion the flextrack exactly 
where you want it and use some weights to hold it in place overnight 
until the glue dries.  I find that cans of soup work well as weight.  
Mushroom flavor works particularly neat.  If light weight is a concern, 
then you can use cork ballast afterwards instead of rock ballast.  Rock 
is pretty heavy compared to cork.  Once ballasted, the flextrack should 
be firmly attached for many years of enjoyment.  Mine has survived two 
major earthquakes and a whole host of smaller ones.  Probably would 
even withstand a kangaroo stampede.  Good luck and have fun...Ed L.
