Being a "newbie" don't see what all the fuss is about. It appears most "S" manufacturers already avoid duplication of offerings due to small market. Also NASG as a volunteer organization with minimal dues as income is in no position to be a viable threat to existing manufacturers. However, it can serve as a clearing house for ideas of potential items to be developed (re-run, custom painted / decaled, etc...). Yes, promotion.
Believe as internet, websites, etc... develop / mature. Serious interest in desireable projects will become easier to identify. Where already well on our way. It'll only get better in future. Besides, I hate to disagree. But not everything is available in every scale.
