Dear Jack,
We have no problem using our 40' boxcars with KD's installed on a
25" radius. You need to remember that this would be a speed restricted
curve if you are using code 110 wheels. Our F unit and switchers also
have no problems with this radius, but again, lower speeds and good rail
joints are very important. As far as steam power you may not have many
choices over this tight a radius.
