>>> I also have a good supply of Intermountain 8 rung ladders from their SP/GN 12 panel boxcar kits. As I have posted in the past, the IM SP cars should have 4 8-rung ladders, though the supplied sprue has only 2 8-rung ladders, the reason is this is a carry-over part from the GN 12 panel cars, and GN used 7-rung ladders on their ends, using a bottom grab for the first step up to the ladder. SP used an 8-rung ladder on the ends. An extra 8 rung ladder set will supply the missing pair of 8-rung ladders necessary for the SP cars. (I'm using the term 8-rung ladders here more than Tom Brokaw's use of the word "Tonight..")<<< makes me wonder if there is sufficient interest for an S scale 12 panel boxcar. Please write to me off list if you are interested in buying, researching, (or manufacturing) this car. I'll report the results. Hey, if my MHRR buddy can get his favorite cars injection molded, I can certainly try to get my favorites built! For those of you who don't know, many (most?) 1950's GN 40 foot boxcars had 12 panels..... I don't know why. I have no information on the SP version. http://www.imrcmodels.com/ho/sr/html/GNRHSVermRedSlantSerif40BoxHO.htm Ted Larson __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
