I attended the show floor portion of the Southeast Regional NMRA convention
this morning in Memphis, Tennessee. One of the exhibitors was Palace Car
Company, new maker of coach seats in S for AM streamliner coaches. I picked
up two packets of 36/pcs each. The seats are very nice. They are larger than
the seats available from Prototype S Parts and have two seat definition from
the front. They also have variety packs of flooring - carpet, tile, etc. -
in S (20 pcs packet). The flooring is not listed on their web site -
www.palacecarco.com. The seats are item #5031-36 ($12.75) and the flooring
sheets are item #5597 ($17.75). Very nice folks with some very good looking
products in other scales.
I was also delighted to see a booth with FinestKind detail parts and wood
kits. Their catalog now lists FinestKind as a "Division of Turner Model
Works." Web is www.turnermodelworks.com.
