Gentlemen

As you should know by now, this year's National S Gauge Convention will be held
in Pontiac Michigan, 2-6 August 2006.

As usual, the convention will feature some portable layouts from various
sources.

But the committee has also authorized me to try to put together a collection of
NASG-compliant modules in an operating point-to-point layout in one of the
hall-ways. Although we, the host club, could supply all the modules to fill the
space available, that would miss the point. We want to try, to the extent that
we have space, to have the participation of modules from as many different
clubs and individuals as possible and make one point-to-point layout. .

If you have a double-track module that meets ALL the NASG specifications
including all the wires, plugs and sockets for the cab & block system, and
you'd like to participate, let me know. Send me a description of what you have.
It does not matter what height the rail is, as long as it can run SCALE
equipment. Modules with sidings and crossovers would be especially welcome.

I expect the official NASG 12-ft (2-section) module will be part of this. That
module is usually operated on DCC, but it is being brought up to compliance
with NASG cab & block specifications, and its DCC control will be selectable
via the "local cab."

Payment: No, we are not going to pay you to have fun. I've carried modules many
miles for the satisfaction of seeing them in use, and all we want is a 4-ft
module that will fit in the back of the van or station wagon you'll be driving
anyway. Of course, if you can put an 8-footer on the roof of your vehicle, as I
used to do, that's fine too.

If you're interested, but want clarification on any of the above, e-mail me and
I'll try to answer your questions.
