Okay, I'm at my wits' end here trying to figure this out, so I'm going
to toss this out to the forum and see if anyone else can explain it.

I'm trying to scratch-build heavy electric motors, but I'm not having
much luck. Thanks to some friends and fellow modelers (PPSSW - thanks
guys) I have gotten my hands on some large drivers and smaller ones as
well, but trying to pick out the gears and motors is driving me nuts.
I'm used to working in pipe sizes and nail threads, and the
gear-threading lists on the NWSL website has me utterly confused. I
know the gears I have use a .4 mod, and the drivers I have are mounted
with a 28-tooth reverse worm gear, but how to choose the worm gear,
worm, axles, and universal joints, let alone the motors?!?

I've already sent an email to NWSL asking for assistance, but that was
a week ago and I've heard nothing from them...

Help?
