I hate to beat this topic to death... but my level of DCC ignorance demands it.
So...
I contacted Digitrax about a decoder and asked them (among other things) if
they offered a decoder, comparable to the Lenz, that would be QUIET and
suitable for SOUND as well. Their (very short and seemingly unconcerned) reply
was as follows :
"DH163P (3" wire harness) or DH163PS (1.5" wire harness). For
applications
with no DCC 8 pin plug use the DH163D which must be soldered in."
So if I decide to go with the Digitrax brand, which one of these would I need?
And has anyone else out there used one of the above-mentioned decoders?
