I said:
"Many manufacturers label their vehicles as 1/64th scale when
they actually are too large or too small. In the real world, a
Cadillac, Chevy, and Corvair are NOT the same size. Unfortunately,
some
manufacturers make them all the same size. I like to know for sure that
vehicles really are 1:64th scale before I post them. For all of you
that have Hot Wheels (the collector type, not the $1 variety) and JL
vehicles (or any other brand) that I don't have posted, would you help
me and help the rest of you by sending me dimensions?"

And the FIRST caller is ERIC REIS who sent me an Excel spreadsheet
containing dimensions of many of his vehicles along with the prototype
size of several of them. I added some of my vehicles to his list and
loaded the spreadsheet to the shared files section, inside the MHRREAST
folder. Your additions/corrections to the list are welcome. Send the
data to me in an e-mail note, or download the spreadsheet, enter your
new data into it, and send me the new spreadsheet. To make it easier
for me, delete any lines of the spreadsheet that do not contain any new
data.

Most of the prototype dimensions are from
http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/?country=US
I must tell you not to trust this data 100%. I've noticed a few
dimensions that don't make sense, such as 1953 Corvette being larger
than a later Corvette..... but this is a start!!!

In the spreadsheet, the most useful size columns are "model % of
correct size". If this number is 100%, then the model is EXACTLY
1:64th scale. Larger than 100% means the model is oversize.

In the CALC SCALE columns, a 66 means the model is 1:66th scale,
smaller than 1:64th scale.
