     Hi Woody, S does make quite a bit easier to fit a layout in a
given space. I've found I can model S scale modern era long cars in
the same space as short older O scale cars. And you might like the
fact that trestles are only 3/4 as big (but they have the same number
of parts so it probably doesn't matter)!!  ....dave
