I know many of you are on the way to the NASG convention and may not see
this post until next week but here goes anyway. I've had a few
discussions with S-scale folks possessing a LOT of experience in this
scale on the subject of kits vs. RTR. A suggestion was made that I
offer upcoming resin kits in kit form and RTR, based solely on pre-paid
(in full) reservations. The first car available will be the Southern
low side steel gon, of which I've rec'd about 65 reservations for kits.
If this car was offered RTR as well, in Roman and Block lettering, with
associated SHS trucks and Kadee couplers, and each car with its own
number, would this be of interest? Estimated price for a RTR,
steel-weighted, 2-rail scale car, including light weathering, is $225
plus shipping and delivery would follow the end of the kit run.
Is this of interest to y'all? What other cars/cabooses could be
produced in this way?
Please reply OFF LIST. Thank you.
