I measured my MTH figures at about 6'4" for men, so they're tall but not giant 
and look good with the trains.  I even fit them into my AM Budd cars.

  Many S scale sized figures are the proper size. Try looking at
  different brands of folks. S just takes a bit of "S"earching.
