Hi Andre, The main thing is to eliminate any chance for shorts
since DCC feeds full power to the track at all times. Switches should
have insulated frogs and have the points bonded to the adjacent rails
so you can keep the point clearance to a minimum and still not worry
about the back of wheels touching them.
For the sound decoders I'd recommend waiting till you actually need
them since sountraxx might be coming out with the diesel tsunami soon?
I've got a LC100 but can't recall if it has the single horn option,
next time I get it out I'll check, the LC100 sounds great for a $40
decoder...dave
