BTS (formerly Southwind casting) offers a couple of styles of EMD
handrail stanchions. Desplains offers a slightly more delicate versions
designed for the American Models GP-9. I would also suppose that one
could purchase the original delrin handrail from American Models
although cutting and splicing delrin might not be fun. In the past
other manufacturers offered various upgrade kits for American Flyer's
jeep but finding those might be a real search and I'm not sure of the
quality.
