Hi All, I just got a surprise call tonight from Russ Downs, the former owner of Ace and Downs Model Railroad. He has been through some personal and health issues this year, but is recovering well and sounded great.
One of the topics that came up is Russ will be selling a small collection on eBay of his tank cars that he kept. They all are Hi Rail. A few of the cars are one of a kind, since he had the cars ready to release at the time that he sold the business. The new owner never released any of them. These are going to be the LAST new Downs Model Railroad cars to be sold that were made by Russ. Finally there will be a 5 car set of the Tank Train tank cars that Russ made in the end of owning Downs MRR. I will advise when I hear of a listing number. The first car will be listed in about a week by an eBay selling business.
