It is an animated sign that flashes in sequence. I am sitting here watching the show on my train desk, but imagining it on top of a building. It was advertised as an S Scale sign but the beauty of signs is they are generally multi-scale. I did not know what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised when I got it. I was thinking that some assembly may have been required because of the reasonable price, but that is not the case. It is ready to go right out of the package. It is a multi layered thin plastic sheet with the electronics inside. It runs on AAA batteries right out of the package but I got the optional power supply that can run multiple signs.
