Peter, Shinohara makes at least #6 turnouts in all four HO/HOn3 variations
(left and right with narrow gauge on either the left or right side) in Code
70 so it is possible in HO to have dual gauge without handlaying track.
Also Railway Engineering and BK will make other HO/HOn3 variations.

After all, why have only one frog per turnout when you can have three?

I'm another dual gauge nut with a bunch of S/Sn3 and Sn3/Sn2 trackwork
planned for his future. I don't know if it will be as nice as Bill's
though. And for variety, I'm planning a mix of stub and point turnouts,
along with a mix of rail sizes (Code 83, 70, and 55).

To add further to the craziness, I've actually been toying with using some
Code 40 on a logging branch spur, which would be about 30 lb. rail.

I know what I think is hi-rail and I still have my childhood AF, but it
won't be used on my layout. I have other issues to think about like using
Sergent couplers on the standard gauge instead of Kadees.

Hi Bill;

Yeah, but then I don't expect the issue of hi-rail vs.
scale is terribly important to you, nor especially
confusing.... Can somene have more than a minimal dual
gauge setup in HO withoout hand laying? I know there
is dual gauge HO flextrack, I'm not sure all possible
turnouts are available ready-to-lay however.
