I just returned from the Third Annual Indianapolis S Show in Carmel, IN. Once
again Charles and his Hoosier S Gaugers gang put on a good show. The NASG
module was there again, and seemed to be a big hit with young and old. Another
layout was there (I assume it was the Hoosier S Gaugers - I'm embarrassed I
didn't confirm that) and I learned a very effective way of modeling late July
corn from that. S-Helper Services consolidation was pulling a good sized
train, and a sharp B&O passenger train was also putting in an appearance. The
only clinic I attended was the depot building clinic - that alone was worth the
2+ hour trip, as I discovered an S scale depot that appears to be very similar
to a Toledo & Ohio Central depot I've been planning on scratch-building. There
were lots of models offered again, and Jay Williams was also there with photos.
I also had the pleasure of my first 40 foot (S Scale) hot dog there as well.

I'd be interested to know who traveled the farthest to get there. I talked
with a couple of guys from around Cleveland (over 300 miles away according to
MapQuest). I have no idea of the number of attendees, but there appeared to be
more than last year, and there was a good turnout then.

Well done Hoosier S Gaugers!
