Folks....My bottomless attic has yielded three plastic tender bodies
very suitable for conversion to scale water/fuel cars for use in
wreck/MOW trains. More specifically, I have one AF rectangular tender,
1 Marx tender with a small coal bunker (50% of overall length) and 1
Marx tender with a large coal bunker (75% of overall length). Both Marx
tenders have rounded tops to the coal bunkers which makes for a very
NYC-like appearance. Other roads apparently had similar rounded edges
to coal bunkers, but I don't know which roads specifically. No floors.
A scale conversion project would involve removing cast-on details,
making a floor, adding desired details, paint, decal, weathering,
couplers, etc. for a quite nice end result. Overall width, length, and
height fit right in with S scale just fine. Bodies in good shape
without damage. Not for sale, but will swap for kit building services.
