Everyone, I sent NWSL an e-mail yesterday and called them today... and they clearly stated that they do not have 42" wheels in S scale for either SHS or AM axels. So since some of you say that they do have them, can you please tell me what the item # is for the ones you are referring to. I am more than willing to use AM geared axels if necessary... doesn't have to be SHS geared axels.
NWSL told me that they would have to custom machine these wheels, whether they be for SHS or AM axels, and therefore the cost will be greater. So... I would like to know if anyone else out there is interested in 42" wheels, and if so, for what axels (SHS, AM or other)? I'm sure the larger the order is, the cheaper the cost per item will probably be. John et al -- NorthWest Short Line carries scale geared 42" wheelsets. These are designed for AM diesels, so I don't know if they will fit SHS drives.
