Hmmm... well, since the big chains only pay at certain times of the month/year, then give them a dose of their own medicine and don't send them the merchandise until a week or so before their pay-out day rolls around. :)

The biggest problem I see is the payment terms the "biggies" extract from suppliers. More than one supplier has gone bankrupt waiting for the 180 plus days payment (IF they were that lucky). Not sour grapes, simple fact. One of my Hardware wholesalers cut out ALL of the small guys, me included, to serve Heckinger's, Builder's Square etc. All went down the tubes about the same time. The truth was that the "litttle guys" who paid by the 10th of the month, carried the wholesaler for years. Without us, their cushion was gone. And so are they. .
