My wife's told me I'm a grumpy old model railroader so take this post
with a grain of salt. We pay great attention to whether or not our
models had K brakes or AB brakes, whether or not they are properly
weathered or not, right kind of handbrake, Murphy roof etc. etc. But
we got to get the lettering (decals) on perfectly. In pictures and
videos I've seen the green part of a Canadian National herald missing
with the white part completly intact. I've seen a Southern Railway
herald with the middle third missing and the outside thirds there.
Some cars are almost impossible to read.
Perhaps a broken decal can be very prototypical! My wife just told
me to get off the computer and back down in the basement. With tongue
in cheek.
