.... "I find much of this nitpicking to be annoying.....We often ask
what we can do to let S grow. My answer is simple. Just cut the
squabbling and let it grow. We are a community of model railroaders
and railroad modelers who work in 3/16-in to the foot. Some are rivet
counters some are not."
Dear Fellow S Scale Modelers,
So why are we tormenting one another on this list with all of the above? (Where
is our moderator?)
My 40 year old layout features bashed Lionel, American Flyer, and Marx. Some of
it is pretty nice too!
Also scratch and kit built rolling stock and Locomotives too! In later years my
equipmnet became more to scale with SHS, American Models offerings [and all the
other manufactures offering scale equipmnet.]
What Dick Karnes and other scale modelers on this list are trying to do had
nothing to do with any of the above.
We're trying to get a S Scale SIG together to further solidify our adventures
in S Scale and the future of S scale itself.
I was floored to think that many of the members on this list don't belong to
the NASG, and at only a picayune $20.00 annual membership fee. But we all march
to different drummers, then so be it!
I would like to recommend that we move on to another subject, .................
Like ........ for those of us with Scale layouts .... Let go run our trains,
after all this is the [EMAIL PROTECTED] group of modelers,
Isn't it??????
"S"ee Ya,
In Baltimore,
Bill FRaley
