Oh boy, does this bring back memories!!. The Car side sets were in all scales,
and I have inherited a few cars built with them. HOWEVER; Anyone who was in
the Omaha or nearby areas at the time may remember Dick Orr, who built an
HO-car the way the Bulletin came to him--folded to fit his mailbox. When Dick
built the car, he included a 3--degree bend near the middle, and one truck was
skewed with each wheel on a separate axle. The crazy thing operated properly
on an NMRA-standard track!!.

Yup, and the NMRA used to print cardboard reefer sides in their
publication, the BULLETIN. The reader could cut them out and make a
very unique car that was unavailable anywhere else. Of course the
rivets did not stand out to the proper scale distance since the ink was
not quite thick enough. Oh the goode olde daze....Ed L.
