Hi guys!

As one who has spliced a few cars of all kinds, I offer this word of
warning. The molds that the cars come from are NOT neccessarily the same
from left side to right side. The smoothside cars I "adjusted" had a
couple of degrees difference in the angle from the roof to the right side
vs. roof to left side which means that if you line up the roof the bottom
edge of the sides do not match. This means that either you fix the roof or
bend the sides, but either approach has meant that the car body is under
some stress at the joint. Make sure that you reinforce all joints and glue
them completely! I have tried both techniques and lining up the sides and
fixing the roof is easiest for me, but cracks always seem to eventually
appear due to the stresses (usually fixed by a quick touch up of the paint
after more glue)... Another excuse for not finish painting my cars!!

Have fun!

Lots of folks have cut and spliced cars with the roof and sides as one
piece...
