The SP was known to ship watermelons in stock cars and the Santa Fe is
known to have pressed stock cars into grain service. They used cardboard to
line the interior of the car. Some of the Santa Fe stock cars had drop bottoms
for hauling coke
Just a few more ideas.

The video was shot in the early 1950's but I wouldn't be surprised if
stockcars were used for this up to the early 1960's at least.
