According to <http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/groups/messages/messages-31.html>, it appears that Yahoo!Groups is tinkering with the digest formatting. I suspect that is what caused the hiccup. I am not aware of Yahoo!Groups sending anything to the moderators about upcoming changes or problems that are occuring (Yahoo!Groups tends to tell us after the fact).
In Googling for this, I ran across a link to "The gaps in digest numbering is seriously interfering with this. ..." at the Moderators list dated 3/24/07. Clicking on the link <http://messages.groups.yahoo.com/Groups/Moderators/rss?bn=grp-issues> brought up html code with messages from 3/26. I'm not a member of that list, but it does appear to be a known issue. Tom, in answer to your question, since you received 3 digests over the weekend, I think you have all the messages, as I don't recall having over 25 messages a day (a digest is created either when 25 messages are sent or the date changes - whichever happens first) in this time frame.
