We are back from Thailand & the York TCA Train Meet. I would like to
update everyone on several of our projects:
2-8-0 STATUS – The remaining engines arrived earlier this month. All
roadnames and roadnumbers (except for the code 110 MEC#2) are now in
stock. About half of the last batch were assembled as code 110. Except
for 3 Erie 2-8-0s, all of the code 110s ordered from our builder sold
out this past fall. But, we were able to have additional code 110
drivers and wheels produced so that more of these could be made from the
remaining inventory. A few roadnames and roadnumbers are in very short
supply in code 110 (B&O#3, NYC, MEC and UP for the code 110). Right now
the Tsunami DCC sound units are in stock.

2-8-0 PARTS – These are being made now and we hope to see them on the
June container. This includes the smoke units, 2-8-0 crew, 2-8-0 AF
comp. Couplers, etc.
TRACK – The container ship (Portland Senator) with our of stock straight
track (15”, 10” & 5”) and 30” radius curved track is scheduled to dock
in the Port of NY on May 9th. The #3 switches are going to leave this
weekend and are expected the end of May. With this run, we asked our
builder to lengthene the frog. They will now accommodate the pick up
shoes on AF diesels and steam engines. We had noticed some pitting on
the frog on earlier switches and believe this will prevent that.
DCC SOUND - We talked to Nancy of Soundtrax last week and she told me
the DSX sound units will be run the first week of May. Once we have
these, we will be able to start to ship the back ordered F units. We are
having a new interface board made for the switchers that will allow us
to directly plug in a DSX and Lenz silver deocoder. It was designed to
also accept the diesel Tsunami when they become available.
OPEN WAREHOUSE – This year’s open house will be June 8th and 9th. Please
